## Description

Byron Bay Aero Club, also known as Tyagarah Aero Club Inc, is an informal aviation community based at historic Tyagarah Airfield in New South Wales, Australia. The club brings together pilots, aviation enthusiasts, visitors, and local residents who share an interest in flight and a willingness to exchange knowledge and experience. Its members have flown a wide range of aircraft, from business jets, biplanes, and gliders to gyrocopters, short take-off and landing aircraft, military aircraft, and personal touring planes. The club’s main aircraft interests include fixed-wing aircraft, motor gliders, and autogyros. Rather than presenting itself as a commercial aviation operator, Byron Bay Aero Club focuses on social and community activities, conversation, learning, and sharing a passion for aviation. Its website features information about Tyagarah Airfield, local conditions, the airfield’s history, events, and a gallery with updates on member and visiting aircraft. The club welcomes fellow aviators from elsewhere, curious visitors, and neighbours from Byron Shire and the wider Northern Rivers region.
