## Description

Byverkstedet is a collective focused on making cities more inclusive through place development. Working across participation, co-creation, design, craftsmanship and architecture, it brings residents and other users into processes that shape sustainable solutions for people and the urban environment. Its projects turn ideas into practical activities, public spaces and community resources, often involving young people, children and local neighbourhoods.

Byverkstedet’s work includes neighbourhood development, consultation and design studies, workshops, temporary structures and meeting places. Projects have ranged from bicycle repair initiatives with Oslo Sykkelklubb and at schools to a tool library featuring design, production and laser cutting.
