To accelerate the energy transition, C.Vélo is creating a new heat network in the southern part of the region. This network will serve the Saint-Jacques neighborhood, as well as parts of Aubière and Beaumont. The energy for this network primarily comes from the Valtom energy recovery unit, helping to achieve carbon neutrality. Managed by a new mixed-economy company called Clauvaé, this network will cover 33 km and provide heating and hot water to 10,000 equivalent homes. During the construction period, measures will be taken to minimize disruptions, including appropriate signage, traffic diversions, and maintaining access for pedestrians, residents, emergency vehicles, and open businesses.
