## Description

Cabin Boy Knits is a small-batch yarn brand based in Stirling, Ontario, creating naturally dyed, breed-specific wool from a log cabin setting. Its yarns are hand-dyed with plants that are foraged or grown locally, including goldenrod, white spruce, sumac, and onion skins, alongside dyes such as indigo, cochineal, and madder. The wool is sourced from sheep-friendly farms and eco-conscious mills, with Canadian fibre prioritized. Each skein is labelled with its sheep breed, which may include Merino, Bluefaced Leicester, Polwarth, Gotland, or Peruvian Highland.

The shop offers yarn in fingering, DK, worsted, and bulky weights, as well as kits pairing patterns with yarn. Its dye library explains the plants and other sources used, the colours they produce, and their histories. Cabin Boy Knits also shares information about wool, sheep breeds, and natural dyeing through its learning resources and YouTube channel. The dyeing process uses rainwater or snowmelt when available, and skeins are dried outdoors. Shipping is free on Canadian orders over $100.
