## Description

California Cultured is a food technology company developing sustainable coffee and chocolate from plant cells. Its approach focuses on cocoa, using selected cells from cacao varieties and natural fermentation to produce real cocoa without relying on conventional cacao farming. The company presents this method as a way to support a more resilient, regenerative chocolate supply while helping protect forests and enable stable, year-round production.

California Cultured says its cultured cocoa is designed to be clean and free from contaminants, including lead and cadmium, while retaining the rich flavor and luxurious, snappy, melt-in-the-mouth qualities associated with premium chocolate. The company also highlights potential better-for-you products made with high-flavanol cocoa.

For business partners, California Cultured offers opportunities to develop custom cocoa flavor profiles and co-branded product launches. Its website includes a store, company and product information, partnership inquiries, and a blog covering topics related to chocolate, coffee, sustainability, and food science. The brand’s stated goal is to future-proof the chocolate experience through cell cultivation and fermentation.
