## Description

CAFA (Center for Afklarende og Forebyggende Socialt Arbejde) is a Danish nonprofit organization supporting socially vulnerable children, young people and adults. It also operates as a consultancy, carrying out practical assignments for municipalities and institutions and developing knowledge and methods intended to improve people’s lives. Its work is grounded in an appreciative, development-oriented approach, with a strong emphasis on involving children and adults in assessments and contact arrangements.

CAFA offers services including social assessments, supervised contact and contact houses, supportive interventions, supervision and advice, individual monitoring, support through bereavement, and coordination and quality assurance of child and family cases. It also runs groups for children and young people, undertakes projects, and shares publications. For private families, its consultants provide guidance to parents of children with additional needs or diagnoses, including autism and ADHD, and experience supporting children experiencing school refusal. CAFA’s multidisciplinary team includes social workers, social educators, academics and administrative staff, enabling it to match personnel to each assignment.
