## Description

C.A.I. Merano is the Merano section of the Club Alpino Italiano, serving people interested in mountain activities and culture in the Merano area. The section organizes a varied programme for different ages and interests, including hiking, youth mountaineering, activities for senior members, cycling excursions, climbing, and high-mountain outings. Members can also take part in gymnastics, cultural events, and activities through the Sinigo group, or consult the section’s library. Its annual activity booklet provides details of the programme, while the website shares upcoming events, calendar updates, and guidance on difficulty ratings for hiking, via ferrata routes, snowy terrain, and cycling excursions. The section also manages the Picco Ivigna refuge, built in 1891 and reached via trail 18 from the upper station of the cable car serving the Taser area. C.A.I. Merano provides information about joining, its activities, and its facilities through its office in Corso della Libertà. The section is part of the national Italian Alpine Club and works with partners to support its mountain-focused initiatives.
