## Description

Cajun Comic Relief is a Lafayette, Louisiana-based charitable comedy event and community organization, known for bringing audiences together through entertainment and fundraising. Its shows in Acadiana feature local comedians and musicians, with the aim of helping people “laugh ’til it helps.” The event began in 1992 as a fundraiser for the Lafayette Catholic Service Center and has since developed into a long-running regional charity event. According to the organization, over its first 30 years it raised more than $1.5 million for local organizations while entertaining tens of thousands of participants. Cajun Comic Relief continues to emphasize community support and engagement, including support for Parkinson’s and dementia initiatives. Its website provides information about the organization, upcoming shows, ticket purchases, sponsorship opportunities, accessibility, and its refund policy. The site also invites businesses and community supporters to explore sponsorship and connect with the organization. By pairing live comedy and music with charitable fundraising, Cajun Comic Relief offers a way to enjoy local talent while contributing to causes and organizations serving the community.
