## Description

The California Hospice and Palliative Care Association (CHAPCA) is a not-for-profit organization serving patients, families, and hospice and palliative care professionals across California. Its mission is to support member providers in delivering high-quality care and to advocate for hospice and palliative care statewide. CHAPCA works toward a future in which every patient and family knows about these services and can access them.

For patients and families, CHAPCA offers information to help explain hospice and palliative care, compare providers, plan ahead, prepare advance directives, and find grief support. Its resources also address caregiving, life stories, veterans’ needs, and understanding care options. For providers, the association offers education and training in areas including compliance, clinical leadership, and billing, along with resources, publications, and professional development. Members can access networking and partnership opportunities, events, and advocacy support. CHAPCA also connects people with hospice job resources and helps them locate providers and grief support groups.
