## Description

CALIMERO is a European project focused on improving environmental performance and sustainability in bio-based industries. Its central goal is to develop a common framework for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies across selected bio-based sectors. By supporting more consistent assessment of industrial processes, the project aims to help identify key sources of pollution and examine potential solutions.

The project shares its work through a public knowledge centre, including documents, resources, communication materials and updates on its work packages. Its website also features project news and newsletters, helping stakeholders follow research and activities. Recent initiatives include a webinar exploring multi-objective optimization in bio-based systems and a joint Science-for-Policy event with the ALIGNED project on advancing LCA for bio-based products.

CALIMERO also provides information about its objectives and collaborations, along with contact details and policy information. The project is funded by the European Union under grant number 101060546. Its website notes that published views and opinions belong to the authors and do not necessarily represent the European Union.
