## Description

BlackLine is a vital crisis support hotline dedicated to providing immediate assistance and promoting social justice for individuals, families, and communities, particularly those from Black, Brown, Indigenous, and LGBTQ backgrounds. Founded by a group of passionate volunteers in the Hudson Valley, New York, BlackLine operates nationwide, offering a safe and confidential space for individuals to report negative interactions with law enforcement or vigilantes, and to seek emotional support during times of crisis.

The organization equips trained volunteers who are committed to affirming the experiences of those in distress, ensuring that all communications remain private and are never shared with law enforcement or state agencies. In addition to crisis counseling, BlackLine actively collects data on negative encounters to inform community organizers and enhance local responses to these issues.

With a mission grounded in empathy and advocacy, BlackLine strives to create a supportive network for those needing assistance, offering hope and resources to navigate difficult experiences—one call at a time.
