## Description

Callejear.fr is an independent French street-information directory edited by Yoel Castaño Peón. It brings together public data to help people explore streets and neighbourhoods across France, whether they are considering buying or renting a home or simply want to learn more about an area. The site lists more than 2.19 million streets across 34,935 communes and provides detailed street profiles covering property prices, nearby public facilities and shops, public transport, green spaces, air quality, natural risks and housing energy performance.

Callejear.fr also offers an indicative quality-of-life index from 0 to 100 for rated streets. Rather than an absolute score, it compares each street with others in its commune and considers walkability, access to services, shops, greenery, transport and estimated noise levels. Users can explore the directory by region, department, commune and street. Its information comes from public sources, including BAN, INSEE, DVF, ADEME, Géorisques and OpenStreetMap. The project states that its methodology is publicly documented and auditable, and that it operates without real-estate sponsors or advertising partnerships with agencies or developers.
