## Description

Calmocean is a brand that focuses on providing maritime life cycle services. Founded by Petter Heier and Magnus Hammerstad, Calmocean aims to bring a strong dedication for sustainability through collaboration and partnerships in the maritime industry. Petter, with extensive experience in ship repair and management, holds a double MBA and a degree in maritime engineering. Meanwhile, Magnus, a marine engineer, has expertise in recycling and decommissioning divisions. Calmocean's vision is to promote life-cycle thinking within the maritime industry, ensuring that vessels are built sustainably and meet all future environmental standards. They believe that many too-early-to-recycle-assets can be converted to benefit new life in different shipping and offshore segments. With a strong network of asset owners, naval architects, and yards, Calmocean aims to scale up re-use/conversion projects. Collaboration is key for a successful transition into the circular economy, and Calmocean cooperates with forward-leaning companies in the maritime industry to take a leading role in this transition. They have solid long-term investors and partnerships with industry-leading companies and organizations in the maritime sector.
