## Description

Calysta is a cellular agriculture company developing sustainable protein ingredients for feed and food. Its patented fermentation platform produces protein without arable land or plant or animal products, offering an alternative approach to conventional protein production. The company serves fish and livestock, pet, and food ingredient markets through its product family: FeedKind, FeedKind Pet, FeedKind Net Zero, and Positive Protein. These ingredients are designed to help meet rising demand for healthy, sustainably produced food while reducing the agricultural land needed for feed and food production.

Calysta emphasizes scalable manufacturing, with a process that can expand from single-cell production to industrial volumes. In partnership with Calysseo, its first FeedKind production plant in China is producing thousands of tonnes annually. The company says its protein products are powered by renewable energy and can help preserve biodiversity while contributing to global water, energy, and food security. By applying fermentation to protein production, Calysta aims to support a more sustainable food system and supply ingredients for a range of animal and food applications.
