# Campsite: Camping

- **Website:** <https://campsite.camp>
- **Primary alias:** `campsite.camp`

## Description

Campsite is a camping discovery and trip-planning platform that helps people find and share free and low-cost places to stay across the United States. Its interactive map features more than 50,000 campsites, including established campgrounds, wild camping spots, RV parks, and remote backcountry sites. Campers can browse photos and reviews, check costs, amenities, hookups, access details, vehicle limits, directions, and warnings, then search or filter by name, location, coordinates, or site type.

The map combines satellite and topographic views with layers for USFS and BLM public-land boundaries, camping roads, cell coverage, dark skies, active and historic fires, air quality, and wildfire smoke. Users can save locations in custom lists, view lists on the map, upload photos, and suggest new sites or corrections. Campsite is available on the web and as an app for iOS and Android. Its core map, layers, reviews, photos, and custom lists are free, with no account required to explore. Offline map downloads are available to Campsite Supporters, whose contributions help keep public-land data accessible.
