## Description

The Canadian Tectonics Group (CTG) is a division of the Geological Association of Canada focused on tectonics and the community connected with this field in Canada. Its website serves as a hub for information about the group’s activities, learning opportunities, recognition programs, and professional connections. CTG organizes workshops and short courses, including events such as the CTG Workshop, and provides access to seminar series from multiple years. These seminars offer a recurring platform for sharing talks and information related to tectonics. The group also highlights awards recognizing achievement in the community, including the Elliott Best Paper Award, the Henderson Best PhD Thesis award, the Barr–Jamieson–Carr Best M.Sc. Thesis Award, and an award for Excellence in the Canadian Tectonics Community. Visitors can find newsletters, news and links, contact information, and jobs and opportunities. By bringing together educational events, research-focused seminars, awards, and professional information, CTG supports engagement with tectonics through its connection to the Geological Association of Canada.
