## Description

The CancerCare Co-Payment Assistance Foundation helps people with cancer manage the financial barriers that can make prescribed treatment harder to access. Its central service is co-payment assistance for eligible patients, with online and phone enrollment and same-day approval available. Assistance is provided through funds organized by diagnosis, and availability can change as funding levels shift. Patients can review open funds and their eligibility criteria, apply for support, check enrollment status and fund balances, and receive email notifications when a closed fund reopens. Applicants must meet the foundation’s financial, medical and insurance requirements; diagnosis verification by a treating physician is required within 90 days of a grant’s start. Assistance may last up to one year, with renewal instructions sent to eligible active participants before their grant ends. When a fund is unavailable for a person’s cancer type, co-payment specialists can direct them to other patient assistance programs, support services and resources. The foundation also invites donations to help expand its ability to assist people facing treatment costs.
