## Description

Cancer Equality is a dedicated charity founded in 1999, focusing on improving cancer care and support specifically for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. Registered as a charity in 2001, its mission is to address inequalities in cancer care by providing vital information, support, and culturally appropriate services to individuals affected by cancer, including patients, families, and caregivers.

The organization has been proactive in creating educational materials in various languages and formats, conducting training sessions, and publishing a comprehensive directory of cancer resources. Its flagship initiative, Ethnic Minority Cancer Awareness Month (EMCAM), aims to raise awareness about cancer and empower BME communities to reduce risks and enhance early detection.

Through strategic partnerships with cancer organizations, health professionals, and community groups, Cancer Equality strives to maximize its impact and outreach. With a proven track record of successful initiatives, Cancer Equality continues to lead efforts in ensuring equitable access to cancer care and support for all communities.
