## Description

CancerHelp (Preston) Ltd is a dedicated charity established in 1989, aimed at providing free and confidential support to individuals affected by cancer in the Preston and Central Lancashire area. Founded by Margaret O’Donoghue, a passionate nurse, CancerHelp emerged from a need for empathetic care and comprehensive support for cancer patients and their families. The organization offers a range of valuable services, including counseling for wellbeing and bereavement, complementary therapies such as massage and aromatherapy, and specialized programs for children and young people.

With over 6,000 client visits annually, CancerHelp ensures that no one faces cancer alone. It collaborates closely with the NHS and other charities to provide holistic support tailored to each individual's needs, irrespective of age, gender, or background. The charity relies on donations, fundraising events, and two charity shops to sustain its operations, striving to allocate more than 80% of funds directly to patient services. Through its unwavering commitment, CancerHelp works to help patients live fulfilling lives despite the challenges of cancer.
