# Canes American Football - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `canesamericanfootball.com` ## Description Canes American Football is an American football team based in the Canary Islands, welcoming people interested in learning about the sport and getting involved. The club offers training in both tackle football and flag football, with sessions scheduled for different days of the week. Tackle training takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. This traditional, full-contact form of the game stops the ball carrier through a physical tackle and uses protective equipment such as helmets and shoulder pads. Flag training is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. In this lower-contact version, defenders stop a play by removing one of the ball carrier’s flags rather than tackling them, making it suitable for beginners, children, and recreational players. Canes encourages interested people to attend a training session and meet the team. The club is located at Carr. a los Olivos, Santa Brígida, Las Palmas.
