## Description

CanGlide is an Australian paragliding simulator business based in Lyneham, Canberra, offering virtual reality flight experiences for pilots and newcomers. Described as Australia’s first fully featured VR paragliding simulator, it lets people experience and practise paragliding on the ground, in a safe and controlled environment. Flights are led by CanGlide operators, who are experienced paraglider pilots.

The business offers three options. Introductory flights introduce participants to simulator controls and paragliding, making them suitable for pilots and non-pilots, including families and small groups. Flight experiences help pilots practise particular skills or explore different sites, with sessions tailored by the operators. Skill progressions are customised programs across multiple sessions, designed around each pilot’s abilities and goals, including work on landing accuracy and thermalling. Sessions are available for 30 or 60 minutes, with bookings arranged by appointment.

Founded by local paragliding enthusiasts, CanGlide serves pilots looking to maintain or develop their skills, as well as people curious about the sport.
