## Description

CANHAV Alliance is a Canadian organization working to advance the airship and lighter-than-air (LTA) industry. Based in Ottawa, it connects stakeholders across technological innovation, governance, infrastructure, public relations, and investment to help develop airships, hybrid air vehicles, and aerostatic technologies. The Alliance sees these low-emission transport options as a way to address challenges in remote and rural regions, where melting permafrost and unreliable ice roads can disrupt the movement of people and goods. Its work focuses on fostering safe, environmentally responsible innovation; supporting meaningful partnerships with Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit communities; and strengthening public safety, emergency management, and humanitarian logistics. CANHAV also promotes ethical design, construction, and peaceful use of airship technologies. The organization advocates for Canada to help develop these capabilities, which may serve logistics, tourism, defence, and disaster relief while requiring less infrastructure than conventional transportation. Through advocacy, policy engagement, industry collaboration, and public insights, CANHAV aims to help build the conditions for airship operations to benefit communities and contribute to a more resilient transportation system.
