## Description

**Liga Rioja Adopta**

Liga Rioja Adopta is a pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting canicross, a sport that combines running with the companionship of dogs. Founded by the Club Canicross Rioja in 2013, this organization emphasizes solidarity, ethics, and animal welfare, advocating for the adoption of abandoned pets. Liga Rioja offers various competitive distances, including an 8 km general race for experienced teams, a 2 km popular segment for newcomers, and a fun 500 m race for children under 11, allowing families to engage in sport together.

Participants are required to ensure their dogs' well-being through veterinary checks, reinforcing the event's commitment to animal health. The club collaborates with local animal shelters, donating 100% of registration fees to support animal protection efforts. With events held in picturesque locations such as Logroño and Ezcaray, Liga Rioja Adopta fosters a community of empathy, respect for nature, and responsible pet ownership, encouraging both athletes and animal lovers to unite for a noble cause. Join the movement, and run with purpose!
