## Description

The Canadian Journal of Surgery (CJS) is a scholarly publication focused on surgical research, education, clinical practice, and related health-care topics. Founded in 1957 through collaboration among the Canadian Medical Association, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and university departments of surgery, the journal continues to work with academic and professional partners across Canada. Its content includes research articles, clinical reports, educational studies, and other contributions relevant to surgeons and health professionals. Readers can explore current and past issues, browse collections, and follow featured articles, including studies on surgical outcomes, patient care, and medical education. CJS also offers podcasts, email alerts, and RSS updates to help audiences keep up with new content. For authors and reviewers, the journal provides submission guidance, information on publication fees, forms, and editorial policies, and accepts manuscript submissions. The website also features professional opportunities and information about the journal’s staff, editorial board, advertising, reprints, and permissions. CJS supports surgical scholarship and professional learning through its publishing and reader services.
