# Canoa - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `canoa.fi` ## Description Canoa rf is an active, bilingual paddling club based in Espoo, Finland, founded in 1932. Its activities bring together people interested in several forms of paddling, including sprint kayaking, touring, recreational paddling and open-canoe paddling. The club offers opportunities for both experienced paddlers and newcomers, with summer introductory courses for adults, children and young people. Junior activities, team training, touring trips and regular group paddles are also part of its programme, alongside events and competitions such as marathon paddling and the Sommarö runt tour. Canoa’s home base is its boathouse at Breda, in Espoo’s Suvisaaristo archipelago, sheltered by the calm waters of Bredviken. Members can use the club’s fleet of junior, touring and racing kayaks, as well as open canoes. The club is run by volunteers and does not rent its equipment to non-members.
