## Description

California NORML (Cal NORML) is a nonprofit, membership-supported organization founded in 1972 to protect and expand cannabis consumers’ rights. As California’s chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, it maintains a separate membership and financial base while advocating for sensible and fair cannabis laws and regulations in the state.

Cal NORML works through lobbying, public education, events, newsletters, and sponsored scientific research. Its website provides consumer information on cannabis health, driving, drug testing, vaporization, and medical cannabis, alongside guidance on California laws and patients’ rights. It also shares legal resources, research, news, and updates on legislation and reform efforts.

The organization supports both individuals and the cannabis industry with advice for businesses and cultivators, a directory of cannabis attorneys, and information about doctors and medical resources. Its Cannabis Marketplace helps users find dispensaries and delivery services, business services, cannabis products, and other resources. Businesses can also join, list their services, or advertise through the site.
