Thanks to advancements in medical research, the cure rate for childhood cancer has significantly improved over the past few decades. Today, 80% of affected children and over 90% of those with leukemia can be successfully treated.

However, the heterogeneity of this disease means that the overall cure rate varies greatly depending on the type of cancer, and for some, there are still no effective therapies available.
