## Description

**Clori - Archivio della Cantata Italiana**

Clori is a pioneering initiative dedicated to cataloging and preserving the rich heritage of the Italian cantata, a unique genre of vocal chamber music characterized by Italian text. Established around 1620 and extending to the early 19th century, Clori aims to create a comprehensive online database that serves as a descriptive repertoire for researchers and enthusiasts alike. The project is primarily promoted by the Italian Society of Musicology in collaboration with the Center for Studies on the Italian Cantata from various esteemed universities, including Rome Tor Vergata, Pavia, and Siena.

Clori not only facilitates in-depth and multidisciplinary exploration of the cantata genre but also includes valuable resources such as manuscript descriptions and updates on recent findings. Engaging with Clori opens opportunities for scholars to connect with a wealth of musical sources. For inquiries or contribution opportunities, individuals can reach out to the designated project coordinators. Follow Clori on social media to stay updated on ongoing research and musical discoveries.
