## Description

Cão Sem Dono is a nonprofit animal welfare organization founded in São Paulo in 2005 by animal protector Rafael Miranda. Based in Itapecerica da Serra, in the Greater São Paulo area, the organization operates two shelters that care for more than 500 animals. Its work includes rescuing dogs affected by abandonment and mistreatment, providing veterinary care, food, protection and recovery, and helping them find loving homes through responsible adoption.

The organization also encourages public awareness, compassion and respect for animals. People can explore dogs available for adoption, attend adoption fairs, sponsor animals who may need a longer stay at the shelter, volunteer, donate or become a corporate partner. Cão Sem Dono also runs health-care initiatives for animals belonging to people in need. Donations support the ongoing costs of sheltering hundreds of dogs, including food, vaccines, medication and emergency treatment. Guided by a mission to turn abandonment into hope, Cão Sem Dono works to give rescued animals the chance to live with dignity, safety and care.
