# Capitol Area Council - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `capitolareascouting.org` ## Description Scouting America’s Capitol Area Council serves young people and families across 15 Central Texas counties, including Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, and Burnet. Established in 1912, the council supports Scouting programs for participants from kindergarten through age 20, welcoming boys and girls from all social, economic, and religious backgrounds. Its mission is to help youth make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives by teaching the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The council offers opportunities to join Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring, and Learning for Life.
