## Description

Capoeira4You, also known as Muzenza York, offers Capoeira classes and activities in York and nearby communities. Its sessions combine martial arts, movement, music, and Afro-Brazilian culture, welcoming children, adults, parents, and families. Classes are designed to make physical activity engaging while helping participants develop stamina, coordination, balance, agility, flexibility, and aerobic fitness. The group also encourages teamwork, discipline, social skills, musicality, and confidence.

Regular sessions are held at venues across York, Selby, Wheldrake, Rufforth, Ampleforth, and Stamford Bridge. Options include children’s classes, adult classes, parent-and-child sessions, community classes, and after-school clubs. Capoeira4You also runs workshops for schools and special events, using interactive movement, music, and history to introduce the art form. For learners seeking individual guidance, private one-to-one classes can be tailored to their pace, goals, and skill level.

The group is part of Muzenza, founded in 1972, and is led by Jerri, whose martial arts experience began with Capoeira in southern Brazil in 1987.
