## Description

Capoeiraschool Berimbau de Ouro is a capoeira school offering classes and cultural activities in and around Rotterdam. Capoeira combines martial arts, dance, music and acrobatics, with roots among enslaved people in Brazil. The school welcomes children and adults and provides regular lessons at several Rotterdam locations. Classes introduce students to movement, self-expression, music and the shared capoeira game, or roda, where participants play together in a circle.

Alongside lessons, the school works with Kriya Família to deliver workshops and performances for festivals, schools, businesses and other groups. Kriya Família shares Brazilian music and dance, including capoeira, samba, maculelê, forró, baião and maracatu. Its performances and workshops are designed to involve audiences of different ages. Together, the school and the family offer an engaging introduction to Brazilian movement, rhythm and culture.
