## Description

Capravetgroup is a Dutch veterinary knowledge network focused on improving animal care and veterinary services in the goat farming sector. It brings together 13 veterinary practices from across the Netherlands, connecting veterinarians, goat farmers and related industries to share expertise and strengthen professional networks. The group supports veterinary teams through specialist goat veterinarians who work alongside farm veterinarians to investigate herd-specific challenges and provide targeted advice. Its work also emphasizes education and professional development, with plans to train both generalist and specialized goat veterinarians. Generalists provide first-line care and address common farm issues, while specialists can assist with more complex, farm-specific problems. Through knowledge exchange, training, projects and group meetings, Capravetgroup aims to advance herd health and farm support in the Netherlands and across Europe. Its approach combines routine veterinary services with specialist expertise and advisory guidance on animal health and management. Guided by the belief that every goat deserves the best care, Capravetgroup works to create added value through collaboration and make veterinary knowledge more accessible across the sector.
