## Description

CAPRI, the Critical Assessment of Predicted Interactions, is a communitywide scientific initiative focused on evaluating computational methods for predicting protein–protein complex structures. Through blind prediction challenges, participants use algorithms to model experimentally determined three-dimensional structures of protein complexes, known as targets, before those structures are published. This approach enables the community to compare methods against real experimental results.

The CAPRI website supports this work by sharing news, coordinating events, and facilitating the exchange of software and other useful tools. It also provides resources on targets, assessment, publications, participants, and opportunities to contribute, alongside access to the CAPRI Portal. The initiative organizes evaluation meetings where researchers discuss and assess prediction results. Its activities have included the CAPRI COVID-19 Open Science initiative, launched with Round 51, as well as events and training related to the integrative modelling of biomolecular complexes. By bringing researchers together around shared challenges, CAPRI helps advance the evaluation and development of computational approaches to understanding protein interactions.
