As a local news organization, we are dedicated to delivering authoritative journalism focused on Madison and beyond. While we continue to produce a weekly print newspaper, our primary focus is on digital delivery. In addition to providing news, we pride ourselves on being a source of progressive opinion through our exceptional editorials and essays written by our talented team of opinion staff and guest writers. Furthermore, we are renowned for hosting excellent events, including the annual Cap Times Idea Fest. This event features nearly 100 local and nationally recognized speakers who participate in various sessions covering diverse topics such as politics and culture. Lastly, The Capital Times is not only a esteemed newspaper, but also a major contributor to local philanthropy. Thanks to the foundation established by our founder, William T. Evjue, we have been able to support numerous worthy causes in our community. From education and health to racial justice and the arts, our foundation has distributed over $60 million in grants to various organizations. With a century of newspaper history in our DNA, we embrace digital innovation while continuing to uphold our legacy of progressive journalism and community support.
