## Description

The Charak Samhita is a revered text in Ayurveda, essential for students, teachers, physicians, scholars, and researchers. Originating from the Agnivesha Tantra, it was redacted by Acharya Charak over 2000 years ago, further enriched by Dridhabala in the 4th century CE. This text stands out as a comprehensive guide not only for disease management but also for promoting health and preventing ailments. The Charak Samhita integrates the science of Yoga, Sankhya philosophy, and ecosystem principles, emphasizing holistic health management. Recognizing the need to update this ancient treasure, the Charak Samhita New Edition Project was launched in 2013. With objectives to create a live edition with updates and promote Ayurveda as a preventive healthcare system, this project aims to make Ayurvedic knowledge accessible globally. Supported by leading authorities in Ayurveda, this project showcases a collaborative effort to refine and enhance this invaluable resource.
