Description

The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving and advocating for the local running community in Chicagoland. As the city's premier running club, CARA offers a wide range of accessible opportunities for runners of all levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to start your running journey or a seasoned marathoner aiming for a new personal best, CARA has something for everyone.

CARA provides comprehensive training programs, including winter and summer marathon training, half-marathon training, small group classes, and Tuesday night track workouts. These programs are designed to help runners improve their performance, stay motivated, and achieve their goals. In addition to training programs, CARA also organizes various races and events throughout the year, such as the Chi-Town Miles, Ready to Run 20 Miler, and the annual Marathon VIP Experience.

Beyond training and racing, CARA is committed to fostering a sense of community among runners. They offer education clinics, charity training partnerships, and run crews to provide socialization and support. CARA also operates Lakefront Hydration Stations and advocates for runner-friendly policies in the city.

Join CARA today and become part of a passionate community that supports and celebrates the love of running in the Chicago area
