Carbondale Historical Society is a brand committed to preserving and sharing the rich history of Carbondale, Colorado. Founded by Mary Ferguson, a former elementary school teacher who lived through the horse and buggy era to the space age, the society offers a range of services to educate and engage the community. Through their This I Remember interviews, you can listen to Mary Ferguson herself recounting her experiences and memories.

Additionally, the society conducts educational presentations, such as the Potato Day History and the Architecture Tour, to provide insights into the town's fascinating past. They also organize an annual event called Dinkel Mercantile Thompson House, highlighting the history of the Valley Elders. Carbondale Historical Society welcomes support from individuals and has a registered charity status.
