## Description

Carbon13 is a climate-focused venture builder and investor that helps entrepreneurs create businesses addressing climate change and other pressures on Earth’s life-support systems. Founded in Cambridge and expanded to Berlin, it brings together founders, scientists, engineers, investors and domain experts to develop climate technology ventures with the potential for significant emissions reductions. Carbon13’s programmes support people at different stages: its Cambridge and Berlin Venture Builders help aspiring founders find co-founders and build startups, while its Venture Accelerator supports pre-seed companies working on product-market fit, go-to-market strategy and investment readiness. The organisation also invests in ventures developed through its programmes and offers early-stage climate-tech startups access to advice and expertise. Its portfolio includes companies working on solutions such as methane detection and capture, food production using food waste, and recycling technology. Carbon13 aims to support ventures capable of mitigating at least 10 million tonnes of CO₂e annually at scale, and has set a broader goal of enabling more than 400 million tonnes of annual mitigation by 2040.
