# Cardano-Lightning - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `cardano-lightning.org` ## Description Cardano Lightning is a project focused on bringing a version of Bitcoin’s Lightning payment-channel model to the Cardano network. Its proposed network would use bidirectional payment channels, allowing two parties to send payments to one another and either party to close a channel at any time without putting the other party at risk. By connecting channels, payments could also move between people who do not share a direct channel. For example, a payment could hop through an intermediary who has channels with both the sender and recipient. The project presents its goals as secure operation, near-instant settlement, and high scalability, while emphasizing the integrity of Cardano’s layer-one network. Its website explains the payment-channel concept and provides access to project information, a blog, and a roadmap. Cardano Lightning is therefore described as a proposed payment network and technical initiative rather than as an established payment service. The available information outlines how the system is intended to work but does not specify a launch date, supported products, or commercial services. ## Industries - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology - 🖥 Blockchain and Cryptocurrency _(under Computers Electronics and Technology)_ - 💰 Finance ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/CardanoLightnin) - [github](https://github.com/cardano-lightning) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXWbRft8f/w/820/h/820/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790864979084) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXWbRft8f/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790864979264) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Black | #000000 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - ui-sans-serif — asset _(custom)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXWbRft8f/w/1500/h/500/idauNQ0yjo.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790864977842) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
