## Description

Card Conservation Wiki is an educational knowledge base founded by The Cardboard Alchemists for collectors interested in restoring and preserving trading cards. Its resources cover Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, sports cards, and many other collectible card types, with guidance ranging from beginner fundamentals to advanced conservation techniques. Topics include cleaning, flattening, surface and structural repairs, edge and corner work, storage, display, grading preparation, and authentication. The wiki also offers a card sensitivity database, documented incident reports, safety guidance, equipment recommendations, and technical references to help readers assess risks before attempting treatments.

Some tutorials and introductory materials are freely available without an account. Patreon membership, starting at $8 per month, provides access to more than 90 conservation guides, exclusive videos, the full technique library, and a Discord community; members can also contribute techniques. The project connects enthusiasts through events including the Card Conservation Convention and an annual restoration challenge. Card Conservation Wiki also provides resources on sourcing restoration candidates and buying or selling cards, supporting collectors throughout the conservation process.
