# Card Sound - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `cardsound.org` ## Description Card Sound Aquatic Preserve is a science-based nonprofit dedicated to restoring and protecting the coastal ecosystems of Card Sound, a South Florida estuary. Its work focuses on mangrove fringes and seagrass beds, which provide habitat for fish, birds, and other marine life while helping filter water and protect shorelines. Guided by research and established restoration methods, the organization works with marine biologists, coastal scientists, restoration practitioners, academic partners, volunteers, and local communities to support measurable, lasting ecological improvements. The preserve’s activities include marine habitat restoration, regulated field research, conservation education, cleanup efforts, and community engagement. It also shares research findings and restoration updates to help people understand the ecosystem and the impacts affecting it. Community members can take part through field work, events, volunteering, donations, or partnerships. Contributions support field operations, habitat restoration, education programs, and volunteer coordination. By combining scientific stewardship with local participation, Card Sound Aquatic Preserve aims to restore damaged habitats, protect what remains, and encourage a lasting community commitment to the waters of Card Sound. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/cardsound) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idyACGEA2e/w/4366/h/1149/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791516685543) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Jagged Ice | #ccece6 | accent | | Cyprus | #004135 | dark | | Allports | #0077a3 | light | ## Fonts - var(--_typography---font-styles--heading) — asset _(custom)_ - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
