## Description

CaRE2 Center is a bi-coastal initiative dedicated to promoting cancer health equity through innovative translational research, comprehensive education, and robust community outreach, particularly focusing on reducing cancer disparities within Black and Latino populations. At the core of CaRE2’s mission is an emphasis on understanding the biological and genetic factors that contribute to high mortality rates associated with prostate and pancreatic cancers among these communities.

The center spearheads a range of projects, including the Pancreas ADM and Lung Pilot Projects, while also fostering the next generation of researchers through training programs designed for Black and Latino scholars. Their efforts extend to developing a biological specimen repository and tailoring chemotherapy treatments using patients' molecular profiles, thus enhancing personalized medicine.

Moreover, CaRE2 actively engages with the community to disseminate research findings, educate about cancer types, and encourage participation in biomedical studies. By fostering a collaborative environment, CaRE2 aims to bridge the gap in cancer research and treatment access, ultimately working toward improved health outcomes for underserved populations.
