## Description

The Care Economy CRC is an Australian collaborative research initiative focused on improving care services and outcomes nationwide. It brings together more than 50 partners, including care providers, technology companies, research institutions and government agencies, to develop practical solutions for the care sector. The organisation works across a broad range of services, including early childhood education and care, health and mental health, family and social services, disability and aged care, and palliative and end-of-life care.

Its work is organised around three areas. Technology Solutions supports the development and commercial readiness of assistive care technologies, such as apps, devices and demonstrators. Data Innovation explores connected data, analytics, AI-driven insights and decision-support tools to help providers improve care. Workforce Innovation addresses skills gaps and staff shortages through training, career pathways and new care-delivery models that integrate technology and data.

Through collaboration and applied research, the Care Economy CRC aims to strengthen productivity, support a capable and adaptable workforce, and create person-centred solutions suited to Australians’ evolving care needs.
