CareStarter is a brand that was born out of a father's love for his daughter, Ashlyn, and his struggle to find the resources she needed to thrive. Ashlyn, who has special needs, requires round-the-clock care even as an adult. When she was diagnosed at the age of 5, her parents were left with just a sheet of paper containing grim statistics and no guidance or support.

Determined to address this issue, Ashlyn's father, Lamarque, created Ashlyn's Project. He gathered data to prove that their experience was not unique, and started a non-profit to find a solution. The initial solution came in the form of monthly-printed magazines, but Lamarque realized that technology could provide a more accessible and up-to-date solution.

Thus, CareStarter was born. Today, CareStarter has expanded to support adults with special needs and the entire family unit. The brand is currently working on a robust app and preparing for scale in both the commercial and government sectors.
