Caritas Bangladesh is a humanitarian organization dedicated to fostering universal love and charity, as reflected in its name originating from the Latin word "Caritas. " Established in 1967, Caritas focuses on integrated development, disaster management, and human resource development across the country. With its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in different regions, Caritas operates in 208 sub-districts, prioritizing the well-being of vulnerable communities.

As a member of Caritas Internationalis, a global confederation of charitable organizations, Caritas Bangladesh collaborates with over 165 member organizations worldwide. Their diverse initiatives span social welfare, ecological conservation, education, health, disaster management, and the development of indigenous peoples.
