## Description

Carlos de Toro is a London-based Product and Type Designer whose work connects typography, user interfaces, design systems, and digital products. Originally from Spain, he studied in the Type & Media program at KABK and now works as a Font Developer at Dalton Maag. There, he contributes to the design and development of multi-script type systems for global digital products, collaborating with designers and engineers. His current font development work spans Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, and Hebrew, including variable fonts.

Through his professional practice, Carlos brings together type design and product design, helping shape letters as well as the digital experiences and systems built around them. His portfolio features selected case studies, while his writing explores typography, technology, the internet, and visual communication. He also publishes Breaking Fonts, a Spanish-language outlet, and shares observations of lettering in London through Letters of London. Carlos welcomes enquiries about fonts, books, and London recommendations, and connects with audiences through his website, social channels, and newsletter.
