## Description

Carnaval de Molins de Rei is a distinctive local carnival in Molins de Rei, Catalonia, built around community participation, playful pageantry and a lively mix of popular and royal traditions. Organized by the Comitè de l’Antifaç, the celebration brings together residents, performers and visitors for a packed program of events, including the arrival of Sa Majestat Carnestoltes, the Gran Rua parade, the Ball de l’Antifaç and the emblematic Ball del Camell. Other activities include the Engreixa’t food fair, the Nit de la Bota, a children’s carnival, talks and community gatherings. The organizers also provide practical information for participants, including parade rules, contest guidelines, registration details for comparses and programs from previous years. Registration for comparses is free and available in person or by email, though participation in the parade and competition requires registration. The carnival encourages people to make the festivities their own, while supporting the event through small ticket purchases and entries in its celebratory prize draw.
