## Description

Carnegie Swimming Club is a community-driven swimming club based in West Fife, Scotland. Established in Dunfermline in 1877, it is one of Great Britain’s oldest swimming clubs and is affiliated with Scottish Swimming. The club is a registered charity and aims to provide high-quality swimming opportunities in a friendly, supportive and ambitious team environment.

Carnegie offers pathways for swimmers at different ages and experience levels. Children can begin in the Minnows squads, where qualified teachers lead structured small-group sessions focused on water confidence, safety and technique. Swimmers ready to progress can move through development groups and into performance squads, with coaching and opportunities to train and compete. The club also runs a Masters programme for adults interested in fitness, social swimming or competition.

Training takes place at venues including Carnegie Leisure Centre, Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre, Bowhill Leisure Centre, Michael Woods Leisure Centre, Lochgelly High School Community Use, the National Swimming Academy and Beacon Leisure Centre. Carnegie also organises events, supports volunteering and welcomes enquiries from prospective members.
