## Description

Carnevale di Follonica is a longstanding community celebration in Follonica, Tuscany, organized by Associazione Carnevale Follonica APS. Its history dates to 1910, when local festivities began with masked balls and parties. Over time, the event developed into a lively carnival featuring allegorical floats, music, dancing and participation from the city’s districts, known as rioni. Today, it brings residents and visitors together for parades, markets and activities designed for all ages, celebrating local tradition through colour, creativity and entertainment.

The association promotes the annual carnival programme and related events, with information on parade schedules, floats, carnival queens, districts, tickets and visitor offers. Its calendar also includes summer events, such as Carnevale di Follonica d’Estate and Balla! La notte del Carnevale di Follonica, as well as presentations for future editions. The organisation’s website shares updates, an archive of past celebrations and details about participating rioni, including their colours. With roots in local history and a programme that extends beyond the main parades, Carnevale di Follonica offers a welcoming way to experience the city’s festive spirit.
